Rob has had a passion for photography from an early age, having been influenced by both his father and grandfather. He trained and worked as a graphic designer for many years, and developed the love of detail that has led to a fascination with photographing plants, particularly in close up. Rob finds the challenge of photographing outdoors in natural daylight, with the constantly changing characteristics of light and the vagaries of seasonal conditions, immensely rewarding.

His work has won awards from both the Royal Horticultural Society and the Garden Photographers’ Association. For two years he was a judge for the RHS Garden Photography Competition, and has been a committee member of the Garden Photographers’ Association within the Garden Media Guild.
